Overview

The World of UX with Darren Hood is a weekly podcast focused on user experience (UX) design and the broader UX discipline. It’s hosted by Darren Hood, a UX veteran, educator, and conference speaker with decades of experience in UX practice and teaching.

About Darren

When you listen to just a few minutes of Darren speaking, you can immediately recognize the difference between him and many of today’s “voices.” Why? Darren is a proven, seasoned human-centered design professional with over 30 years of experience and very broad levels of domain knowledge. Originally self-taught, Darren eventually received two UX-related Master’s degrees. Over the course of his career, he has served as an individual contributor, senior, lead, principal, and manager. He also serves as a university and workshop educator, global conference speaker, author, and mentor to UX professionals around the globe.

Darren is skilled across all aspects of the discipline — heuristics, usability, information architecture, UX research, and interaction and interface design. He has also served several types and lines of business. His unique set of skills puts him in the perfect position to provide trustworthy insights about user experience that many of today’s “influencers” and talking heads don’t and can’t.
